Behind the Film

The story we promised to tell

Adamchyk is a quiet memorial to Adam, Sophiia and Tetiana. It blends documentary material with respectful reconstruction so their lives stay at the centre.

We created the film to honour their family and keep attention on Ukraine’s human story. The family reviews every cut, translation and caption before it is shared publicly.

Why we started

Adamchyk began when friends in Zaporizhzhia shared memories of Adam, Sophiia and Tetiana. Their story was being lost in the noise of daily news. The family asked us to help keep attention on who they were, not how they died.

How we filmed

Everything was produced voluntarily by Blackwater Film in London. We combined documentary material supplied by the family with careful reconstruction and narration approved line-by-line.

Every location decision, wardrobe change and camera move was reviewed with the family to maintain trust.

How the story is shared

Adamchyk is screened privately, online and at curated events. We tailor each presentation to the audience so the family’s wishes stay central.

Supporters are encouraged to pair a showing with fundraisers listed on the Support page.

We continue to refine the film in collaboration with the family and those supporting them. If you have information or a personal memory to contribute, please get in touch via the contact page.
